Refund & Payment Policy

Payments are collected by the operator of Who Is Rich via Stripe. Who Is Rich is operated by an individual sole proprietor operating in Texas.

What a payment purchases

A payment purchases public placement and visibility on the Who Is Rich leaderboard, proportional to your entry's total eligible amount. It is not the purchase of a physical or digital good that is later “delivered,” and it is not an investment, deposit, wager, prize, or donation — see Terms of Service.

General policy: payments are final

Because a payment takes effect immediately (your leaderboard position updates as soon as your placement is delivered), payments are generally final once your placement is delivered, and non-refundable, except in these cases:

• Duplicate charge — you were charged more than once for the same placement;
• Unauthorized payment — the payment method was used without the account holder's authorization;
• Technical failure — a confirmed error in our system or Stripe's caused the wrong amount to be charged or your placement to not be delivered;
• Stripe-processed reversal or dispute — Stripe or your card issuer reverses the charge or you file a chargeback/dispute — see below for how that affects your leaderboard total; or
• Required by law — a refund is required under the law of your jurisdiction.

To request a refund under one of these exceptions, contact support@who-is-rich.com. Your card or bank statement shows the payment as “WHOISRICH” — reference that descriptor and the approximate date/amount when you write in.

How refunds and disputes affect your ranking

Your public leaderboard total only ever counts payments that are currently successfully captured, not refunded, not reversed, and not under an open dispute:

• Refund — the refunded amount is permanently removed from your eligible total as soon as we receive confirmation from Stripe.
• Dispute / chargeback opened — the disputed amount is excluded from your eligible total immediately while the dispute is open (your rank may drop).
• Dispute resolved in our favor, funds still captured — the amount is restored to your eligible total.
• Dispute resolved against us, or funds reversed — the amount stays permanently excluded.

If a refund or lost dispute reduces your entry to zero, your entry is removed from the public leaderboard, but your payment and audit history is retained for accounting purposes.

No cash-out

A leaderboard entry cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash or any other payment.
